Charlene Fox
President/CEO of New Millennium Project
Missouri City, TX
Professionally I am a case manager/social worker and have worked with veterans for the past 10 years as a veteran support specialist with Easter Seals Greater Houston and Catholic Charities Galveston Houston Archdiocese.
I began practicing energy healing through Kundalini Yoga in 1986. In addition to being an Usui-Tibetan Reiki Master-Teacher, I am a certified Kundalini yoga instructor and trainer, Healing Touch Practitioner, and Meditation Teacher Trainer. I am also a licensed massage therapist and have taught the business side as well as hands on techniques at San Jac, HCC and Lone Star Colleges in the Houston area. I have used these skills at my professional jobs as well as in private practice for over 30 years.
The journey to founding New Millennium Project began with a deep desire to do something within my skill set to support veterans returning from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, exhibiting symptoms of PTSD. After working with civilians over the years who suffer insomnia, anxiety and depression I knew that integrative healing modalities worked very well in supporting a persons’ path to wellness. New Millennium Project grew out of this desire, and the fact that I know so many people whose life mission is to help others.
When I’m not working with veterans I like to practice yoga on my own, walk, travel, study, learn new things and spend time with friends. Oh, and of course, my Maine Coon cat Suki, provides lots of cuddle time for the self-care we all need to remember.
